Conjoined twins won't survive separation, doctors in Ghana say


The Medical Director at Central Region Hospital yesterday confirmed to reporters that the conjoined twins born in the Central Region of Ghana may end up worse if attempts are made to separate them.

The twin girls who were born to a 16-year-old girl, have two heads, two necks and share one heart. Their spines are also said to have merged together in a one torso

They share a waist, sex organ and one pair of legs and arms.

Doctors said, the conjoined twin girls would likely live a relatively fulfilling life if they are not separated. He warned that any attempt to separate the pair could end in tragedy.
