Kenyan Westgate Shopping Mall Trial: 4 Somalian Men Faces Court


At least 67 people were killed in a September attack claimed by Somalia's al-Qaeda-linked Shebab group.

The trial of four men charged in connection with Kenya's Westgate Mall massacre, an attack claimed by Somalia's al-Qaeda-linked Shebab group, has started.

Adan Mohamed Abidkadir Adan, Mohamed Ahmed Abdi, Liban Abdullah Omar and Hussein Hassan Mustafah all pleaded not guilty to charges of "supporting a terrorist group" on Wednesday.

Afghanistan: 10-Year-Old Girl Forced To Wear Suicide Bomb Vest


Afghan police are searching for a Taliban commander who allegedly forced his 10-year-old sister to wear an explosives-packed vest for an aborted suicide attack in the southern province of Helmand.

The interior ministry said on Tuesday the girl, named as Spozhmai, was detained before she detonated the vest near a police checkpoint in the district of Khanashin, but some local officials said the trigger button did not work when she pressed it.

A man who ate another man's flesh in the Central African Republic has told the BBC he was seeking "revenge" for the murder of family members.

He said he had been "angry" because Muslims killed his pregnant wife, his-sister-in law and her baby.

At least 1,000 people have been killed since violence broke out in the Christian-majority country in December.

Energy Drinks And Alcohol A Lethal Weapon: Study Found


Researchers have published a study that shows college students combining caffeinated drinks with booze don’t realize how intoxicated they really are.

In a study published in the Journal of Adolescent Health, researchers at the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan have concluded that mixing alcohol and energy drinks poses a serious public health risk, especially among college students. "We found that college students tended to drink more heavily, become more intoxicated, and have more negative drinking consequences on days they used both energy drinks and alcohol, compared to days they only used alcohol," said Megan Patrick, a research assistant professor and co-author of the study.

The bus crashed on its way from Nairobi to Homa Bay, Lake Victoria, had fallen down a valley at about 2am. The time of the accident was awful. The bodies are scattered everywhere.
