Man Burns Apartment Complex For Elderly And Disabled After He Was Told To Stop Masturbatiing By Management

A man was arrested after he set fire to his house in order to get revenge against building management, who ordered him to stop masturbating.

Kenneth Haskins, 58, of Florida, was arrested early Monday, on a charge of arson.

According to police, Haskins said that he started the fire to take revenge against management of the apartment complex after he felt they had wronged him.

The fire at the Mar Plaza Apartments in Tampa, broke out shortly after 10:00 p.m. Four people were left homeless as a result of the fire, according to the Tampa Fire Department.

An investigation revealed that the fire originated in two separate areas, in the kitchen and in a bedroom inside Haskins apartment, according to a police report.

Fire investigators determined that a flammable liquid started the fire.

Haskins told detectives he wanted revenge on the company that manages Mar Plaza because he had recently been ordered to stop masturbating in front of open windows and his front door.

He was arrested on a charge of first degree arson and is being held in without bail.

The arrest photo shows that Haskins, who has lived at the apartment complex for elderly and disabled people for more than a decade, suffers a facial disfigurement.

According to Tampa police, the disfiguration was the result of Haskins shooting himself in the face with a gun.
