Angelina Jolie revealed to New York Times on Tuesday that her mother died of breast cancer at the age of 56.
The A+ actress said doctors told her that she had an 87% risk of breast cancer and a 50% risk of ovarian cancer.

The procedure performed on Jolie is known as 'preventative mastectomy and it involves removing both breasts on the patient in order to reduce the likelihood of the killer disease by only 5%. Her partner, Brad Pitt has been supporting her through the procedures.
Okay, for those of you who think Jolie's chest will be flat. Don't worry guys, she will have brand new set.
