A Ghanaian Woman Arrested For Stealing Her Neighobour's Baby


Police in the Eastern Region of Ghana have apprehended a 40-year-old mother of 3 for stealing a  4months old baby girl.

Confirming the incident to the media, police said the suspect and the baby's mother, a 29-year-old woman live in the same house. 

The mother of the baby girl found out on the 10 April that her baby had gone missing without a trace. After a thorough search appeared to show no sign of the baby. The baby's mama and the accused went to a police station to report the baby missing. Police also conducted a frantic search for the baby in the area without success. 

The area commander of police was able to received an intelligent information which stated that the accused was hiding in another location with a baby. She was later arrested by police in her hideout on May 20 and confessed to stealing the baby because SHE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL

According to the accused, after stealing the baby she gave her to someone else who took the baby to an unknown location where she later collected the baby. 

The baby thief then went to Accra - they stayed there for 2 weeks before she and the baby finally relocated to the country side of the West African Republic of Ghana where her brother works.  

When asked about the reasons for stealing the baby, the woman said; as a mother of 3, two boys and a girl, eldest son in senior high school, there was no need for her to steal a baby of 4months and pleaded for forgiveness. 

Police investigation is underway, the woman would be charged to later appear in Accra Circuit-Court.
